Proud to Be a Living Wage Employer
At CleanStart Property Services, we believe that the strength of a community starts with the people who care for it every day. From maintaining residential and commercial spaces to cleaning up streets and laneways across the Lower Mainland, our team works hard to create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environments for everyone. We are proud to be a living wage employer.
We’re proud to be both a Living Wage Employer and a social enterprise, rooted right here in British Columbia. This means we don’t just provide services — we create opportunities.
Proud to Be a Living Wage Employer: What Being a Living Wage Employer Means
We are proud to be a Living Wage Employer through Living Wage for Families BC, we ensure every member of our team earns enough to meet the real costs of living in our region. A living wage goes beyond the minimum wage — it covers essentials like rent, transportation, food, and childcare, while leaving room for savings and stability.
At CleanStart, we view this commitment not as a box to check, but as a foundation for long-term success. When our employees are supported, paid fairly, and given access to benefits and growth opportunities, they can build meaningful careers and contribute fully to their communities.
A Social Enterprise with Purpose
As a social enterprise, our mission extends beyond profit. We create stable employment for individuals who face barriers to work, offering hands-on training, full benefits, and opportunities for advancement. Many of our staff start with little to no experience and progress through our in-house development program — moving from Swamper to Senior Driver or Pest Control Technician, with all training and licensing fully paid by CleanStart.
This model not only supports individuals but strengthens communities by fostering inclusion, stability, and pride in meaningful work.
Keeping Our Communities Clean and Connected
Our crews are out every day across the Lower Mainland — cleaning, maintaining, and revitalizing shared spaces. From street cleaning and property maintenance to junk removal and recycling, we’re committed to doing our part for the environment and the neighbourhoods we call home.
We see our work as more than a service; it’s a contribution to community wellbeing. Each cleaned property, each diverted item, and each stable job created adds up to a tangible difference on the ground.
Building a Better BC Together
At CleanStart, we’re proud of the work we do and the people who make it possible. We are proud to be a Living Wage Employer and a social enterprise isn’t just part of our identity — it’s a promise to our team, our clients, and our community.
Together, we’re proving that doing good business and doing good for people can — and should — go hand in hand.
