What you should do

Make sure you declutter and clean your home as much as possible. Remove any food sources, and focus on kitchen sanitation.

Collect all clothing, bedsheets, and fabric from the home and launder it. This is especially important when treating bed bugs, and high heat on a dryer cycle can make all the difference.

Depending on the treatment, prepare to vacate your home for up to 6 hours. Plan to take any pets with you if possible.

How we can help

  1. Bag all loose clothing, bedsheets, and fabric materials in sealed garbage bags, ready for you to launder.
  2. Deep clean the kitchen and any sources of food for the pests, and dispose of the waste. We will also vacuum and sweep the space.
  3. Organize clutter and decrease hiding places for possible pests.
  4. Configure the furniture to be suitable for treatment by pulling everything in your home towards the middle of the room.

  • Is it okay to have a pest control treatment done without preparation?

We highly recommend preparing your home properly for treatment. We believe it is a tried and true way of increasing the success of our efforts.

  • Do I need to be on site for the preparation services?

Ideally yes. Since we will be cleaning and organizing clutter, you may like to be on site to direct the crew to ensure nothing of value is removed.
